Melanie S. Dickinson, CCO, AIF®, PPC™, CPFA
Melanie serves both retirement plan sponsors and individuals, providing them with independent financial solutions. As the Chief Compliance Officer, she is responsible for maintaining the integrity of our business. Her work with individuals and families cover much diversity through her experience. Melanie helps corporate clients identify their fiduciary responsibilities and individual clients develop their goals for the future. She also prepares and consults with corporate retirement plan clients in the event of an IRS or Department of Labor audit.
Melanie received a bachelor’s degree in education from Jacksonville State University and a master’s degree from Walden University. Melanie holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation, which is widely considered the gold standard for retirement plan advisors. Other qualifications include the Professional Plan Consultant™ (PPC™) certification, Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA), and FINRA Series 6, 7, 26, 63, and 65 licenses.
Melanie is a mentor in the industry and speaks at conferences on topics related to unexpected business succession, 401k successful practices, generational planning with caregiving, and divorce. Locally her relationships among partners and providers in these areas also provide a comprehensive team as she helps others walk through life.
Melanie spent her childhood at The Alabama Sheriff’s Boys Ranch and John Croyle’s Big Oak Girls Ranch, sharing her biological parents with abused, neglected, or abandoned children. Melanie has been active throughout her community as a member of the Hoover Business Chamber, Junior League of Birmingham, and as founder of Women of the PowerGrid.
Melanie and her children are members of Pelham Baptist Church and are Briarwood Lions.
